Hesitation

Guilty.

Efforts to;
  • be prepared,
  • make sure all ducks are in the row,
  • make sure there are no typos,
  • work towards finding the right audience,
  • discern what topics should be addressed,
  • make absolutely certain that content appears rational rather than foolish,
  • find acceptance rather than criticism,
  • launch at the exact right time,
  • research completely
  • keep postings to a two minute read
  • check and re-check links and grammar
  • format for a pleasant experience
  • __________________ (I could go on and on)
Result in:
  • No ducks
  • No typos
  • No topics
  • No content
  • No criticism
  • No launch
  • No postings
  • No audience
Seth Godin says "Ship" which is probably as important (if not more important), than most of the "Efforts" listed above. What prevents shipping?  In a word - fear.  Things like rejection and ridicule can become the underlying cause of perfection seeking activities.

Generally, I've stayed away from the cultural taboo discussions; politics, age, money and admittedly with most people, my relationship with God. And then, I read Matt 10:

Shipping.

Right

NOW

Isn't THIS the truth! I hope people see how Jesus is stating....."Before my Father in Heaven."
