Jump In

The decision is made. Today’s article will be about hearing God. The concept starts with questions. Common questions.

  • Where is God in this ____? 
  • Are my prayers heard, or are they just white noise to the Creator of all?
  • I never seem to get answers to my life-altering cries for help. Does He care?
  • God found ways to talk with the Old Testament people. Why did He stop talking?

Over time, I’ve collected materials that offer help for these common concerns. Some articles get deep. Other writers provide lists of 3, 5, or 10 things we can do to better hear from God.

Curse Becomes Blessing

It happened. Again.

It just won’t leave me alone. No matter what I do, no matter what happens during the day, it always returns. With a vengeance. 

There are so many things that trigger it. 

All seems good and then, suddenly, it’s b-a-a-ack!

You might be thinking that I’m talking about some sort of physical pain. You might be imagining that I twisted my thumb or pinky finger. Using these digits in any way would automatically generate torment. 

But it isn’t that kind of affliction.

It’s that melody!  It’s stuck in my head and it’s making me miserable!

Spilled Water

WHY did I let that happen?

Maybe it's just me.  Sometimes, simple things seem hard to learn and put into practice.  And, I'm talking simple!

A favorite chair.  A small table next to it.  And it's on this table that I keep a glass of water, a television remote, a box of Kleenex, a pen, a pencil, a notepad and in the morning, a latte'. Remember I said "small" table.  Normally when I bring the coffee, rearrangement is necessary. Sometimes that involves stacking.  Usually, that ends in small disasters.
